Insurance & Fees
Clear information about the cost of therapy.
Understanding the financial side of therapy is an important part of choosing a provider. Inner Healing Counseling accepts select insurance plans and offers private-pay and limited reduced-fee options. Because coverage and out-of-pocket costs vary by plan, clients are encouraged to review their behavioral health benefits before beginning services.
Insurance
Inner Healing Counseling currently accepts:
Aetna • Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield • Cigna • Select Health
Insurance participation may vary by specific plan and network. Before your first appointment, I recommend contacting your insurance company to confirm that I am in network with your specific plan and to review your behavioral health benefits, including your deductible, copayment or coinsurance, telehealth coverage, and any authorization requirements.
Verification of benefits is not a guarantee of coverage or payment. Clients are responsible for charges not covered by their insurance plan in accordance with practice policies and applicable law.
Private Pay
Private pay is available for clients who prefer not to use insurance or whose insurance is not currently accepted by Inner Healing Counseling.
Individual Therapy (53–60 minutes): $175 per session
Couples Therapy: (53-60 minutes): $200 per session
Payment is due at the time of service.
Reduced-Fee / Sliding Scale
A limited number of reduced-fee appointments are available for clients experiencing financial barriers to accessing therapy. Reduced-fee availability is limited and is not guaranteed. Eligibility is based on household income and current availability, and reasonable documentation of income may be requested.
Reduced-fee arrangements may be periodically reviewed and adjusted as circumstances change. Please contact me if you would like to discuss whether a reduced-fee opening is currently available.
Using Insurance for Couples Therapy
Insurance coverage for couples therapy depends on the specific plan and the clinical circumstances. When insurance is used, treatment generally must be medically necessary and directed toward a diagnosed mental health condition of the identified client. Insurance may not cover services provided solely for relationship enhancement or communication concerns when no covered mental health condition is being treated.
Before beginning couples therapy using insurance, we can discuss whether using insurance is appropriate and what payment options are available.
Good Faith Estimates
Clients who are not using insurance may have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of care under the federal No Surprises Act. Additional information about Good Faith Estimates is available here →
